Hi everyone how are you doing? How is the weather in your neck of the woods? Well as usual it's freezing here, I have had to stop wearing light cardigans or jacket when I go out and had to pull out the Winter coats and tights and boots. Gloves and all I probably look like and Eskimo but I don't care at least I am warm.
We are moving house so not much knitting being done. I am up to my elbow in paint and cleaning. It's like transforming a Caterpillar into a Butterfly. But I like it I get to put my own niche on it.
Although I have not been knitting much I have manage to cast on Mathew's Balaclava, and am really hoping to cast on the Calorimetry and the Cobblestone Pullover soon.
I have decided to destash all the Lace yarn in my stash as I have discovered after a nasty incident with a skein of Lace alpaca that lace weight yarns and I are not friends, so as much as I love looking at lace I will have to find a heavier yarn to knit it with.
Well that's it for now but I hope next post to have loads of photos of finished projects or at least started. Take care and God bless.xxxxxx

Christmas Knitting
Hi all How's everyone doing?
How is your Christmas knitting going? I need to get mine on track, I have maybe 5-6 persons to knit gifts for, so I need to get cracking. I have been busy with decorating our new flat, loads of painting to be done so not much knitting. I am hoping that after the move I will get to snuggle up and knit, knit like the wind. I do however have a few more FO'S to show.
Pattern: Thorpe #2 (no ear flaps)
Yarn: Wendy Fusion
Needle: US #8
Cast on: Oct 8th 2008
Bind Off: Oct 11th 2008
This is my second Thorpe, but I have left the ear flaps off this one but I really love how it has come out and the color is so yummy it will make a great gift.
Next is a pretty little scarf to match the Thorpe.
Pattern: Bow Tie Scarf
Yarn: Wendy Fusion
Needle: US #7
Cast on: Oct 11th 2008
Bind Off: Oct 17th 2008
Very cute pattern and a very quick knit although that is not apparent from my dates but I finish 95% of the scarf in a few hours but then life happened so only manage to finish it last night. I love it, another great gift I think.
A few dishcloths for the kitchen.
Pattern: Knitted Dish Cloths
Yarn: Sugar n cream (Stripes & Solid)
Needle: US #10
Cast on: Oct 5th 2008
Bind Off: Oct 6th 2008
Very easy and quick basic knit.
And last but not least a Blanket charity.

Twisted Rib Warmers
Hi there how is everyone doing? I hope it's warmer where you are than it is here?
I have been knitting again I know this is becoming a habit, but I rather like it! My recent FO are the Wrist warmers from Last Minute Knitted Gifts I really like how they came out and they fit perfectly But I think I will give them as gifts. Actually I am trying to knit all my Holiday gifts. I will keep all items on the smaller level, if I try to knit larger items I may end up with one FO, so Mittens, Scarf and Hats will be the best bet for me.
Anyway enough babbling here are the Mittens. I promise they do look way better than the pic I reall suck at taking pics.
Yarn: Noro Silk Country (Silk/Alpaca)
Needle: US#6 4mm
Cast on: Sept 24th 08
Bind Off: Sept 30th 08

Also I have finally cast on for my first Fetching I am really liking the yarn I am using which is the Wool of the Andes from Knit Picks. I didn't think that a bargain Wool would be so nice to knit with. I definitely think the next project will be the Cobblestone Jumper from my list as the weather is getting just cold enough for Dh to need to wear it. Or maybe that's just my opinion as I think my body is still adjusting to the British weather.Don't get me wrong I absolutely love it here but the weather is so unpredictable I think it changes every 5-10 mins or maybe 2-10 steps. :0)
