Bits and Pieces !!!

These are some of the things I have knitted over the holidays for my friends and family.

Yarn: Forsell Touch of Silk Cone Aran
Amt Used: 175.0 yards (160.0m)
Notes
The yarn I used was thicker than the yarn the pattern suggest so I started with the larger needle and graded down to the smaller one for the rib section of the hat.
I think it's a very pretty hat will make one for myself.

Hemlock !!!!!!

Here it is after talking about it for so long and wanting to knit this for what seems like forever, is finally done. Measuring at 5ft it's the Hemlock Blanket. It was such a nice knit the center motif knitted up pretty quick but as it went along and stitches increased it took a while to knit each row, that is not a complaint that's me just saying. I can see me knitting another one in a super chunky yarn to wrap in during the colder months.Overall a satisfying project.

Project info
Pattern Hemlock Ring Blanket by Jared Flood
Needle US 10½ / 6.5 mm and US 10 / 6.0 mm
Yarn Forsell Touch of Silk Aran
Amt Used 875.0 yards (800.1m)
Notes
After deciding which pattern to use as so many other have done mods on the original pattern I choose to to use the Rainey Sisters version. I stopped at row 106 and BO using original Bo which took 8 hours to complete. The color is a deep ruby red color but it was hard to photograph it.

Shetland Triangle

Four days till Christmas, YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! I love Christmas I am like a child at this time of year, and honestly it has nothing to do with gifts I just love what it represents and how it seems to even make the grumpiest person seem even happy :-). And all the lights and decorations and seeing friends and family you have not seen all year, and we can't forget the food; yummy dishes we probably cook once a year and the looks on other faces as they eat it. Decadent desserts luscious hams and stuffing ohhh my mouth is watering LOL. But for me this Christmas will be a bit sad being away from my mum and dad, and close family, but I know I'll be seeing them for Easter so I have that to look forward to.

I posted my Ishbel last week I think which I so so love it is so beautiful, so this week is the turn of my Shetland triangle. here she is.

Ishbel

Once again I need to apologise for the bad pics but this is the best I can get from my mobile camera.

Here is my Ishbel she is so beautiful and beaded you would have to see it for yourself as these pics do her no justice. These pics where taken in haste to take advantage of the sun which doesn't stay in the sky for any long period, so hence the uncut yarn lol.

Project info
Pattern Ishbel by Ysolda Teague
Needles US 6 / 4.0 mm US 8 / 5.0 mm
Yarn Wild Fire Fibres BFL Sock
How much? 0.8 skeins = 320.0 yards
Notes
My first time reading a chart which I found so much easier than the written instructions. I knitted the small st st and the large lace section using about 75g or 320 yards of yarn. 8/0 size Beads placed on the knit stitch between the yo on chart D and E. Cast off with a 5mm needles. :)

I do hope you enjoy looking at her as much as I have enjoyed knitting her. :)
